Tokyo Disney To Close Temporarily

Tokyo Disneyland opening

Understandable, to say the least.

Even though the parks have been closed since last Friday’s earthquake and tsunami, Disney officially announced they have decided to suspend operations at their two Tokyo theme parks until further notice. In their official statement, they explained:

“Our top priority is the well-being of our employees and their families during this challenging time and we will continue to closely monitor the situation as it develops.”

As well it should be.

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to all of their employees who are surely having a rough time right now, but should be applauded for their perseverance and strength. After all, a lot of them were a part of the effort to provide park-goers shelter following the quake.

So brave! Stay strong!
