Julie Taymor Will Retain Her Spider-Man Director/Co-Writer Credits

Julie Taymor Will Retain Spider Man Turn off The Dark Director and Co-Author Credits

At least there’s a very little bit of light for Julie Taymor at the end of the very long, dark tunnel that is Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

Despite the fact that it looks like Miss Taymor won’t be sticking around as further changes are made to the show, she’ll retain her director/co-writer credits, because according to sources “[the] producers have spent so much money that they don’t have a cash payout for Taymor anyway.”

Okay, so it’s not ALL bad, Julie. And hey, if by some wildly insane chance they significantly improve the show with further changes, then you can be proud to still have your name associated with the project.

...And if the show is still a disaster, then just do something cool to distract us.

Why don’t you re-release Across the Universe in theatres in 3-D? Assuming you did it well, that’d be an example of a movie that could benefit from the third dimension.

Do U think Julie Taymor deserves to retain her director/co-writer credits on Spider-Man? And...would U like to see a 3-D Across the Universe?
